What do you think of riding at night? Horses are more spooky?

I have heard horses are more nervous at night, and tend to be more jumpy. Have you found this to be true?

I am talking riding under the moon, not just riding in an arena at night.

My sisters & I love to ride under a full moon, and my horse always seems more at ease compared to a normal ride.
