What do you think of my Villanelle?

Villanelle 1:
Your name configures summer to my ear
but not the days of waltzing in the heat.
How greedy to think we would last the year.

We grow old and tired and insincere,
In us blisters a rapid need to cheat.
Your name configures summer to my ear.

We coaxed emotion when the sky was clear,
but now the fall is cloudy with defeat.
How greedy to think we would last the year.

In me swells an exhaustion I revere,
as it's more familiar than your conceit.
Your name configures summer to my ear.

Perhaps we could hold hands and sing to fear;
the gluttonous monster that kept us sweet.
How greedy to think we would last the year.

You close the season, fill out all the sheets.
We sign the borrowed contract to repeat.
Your name configures summer to my ear.
How greedy to think we would last the year.
