This is just some free verse poem i had to write. Any suggestions are welcome. Please be honest. I want to know if it is okay. Thanks in advance.
The Evolution of Friendship
When we first met, we didn’t see eye to eye.
I thought you we geeky, a little to shy.
I was the wild one, living it up,
You were the smart one, thinking long run.
But during the summer something had changed,
This is when our friendship was rearranged.
Our friendship was like bamboo,
Growing fast but still strong.
Our friendship was like ivy and a wall,
Nothing alone but together we had it all.
We had the summer of our lives,
With no worries, watching our friendship thrive.
But soon September came in with bang,
A whole lot of work and no time to hang.
I had my hockey, you were into other stuff.
We are into so many different things,
I guess our summer must have been a fling.
But with this being said I’ll still look back and smile
For this is the evolution of friendship we have no reason to be hostile.
