My 'smooth criminal'

I think of roses red
and sunshine showers
I think of thumping hearts
And blooming flowers
But your smile alone
Spreads my wings
You are the son of the angels
And yet you remain brother of the Earth
And how I yearn to see you smile
To watch you change us with that heart
We thought you were for forever
Always ours to love
But still, you have left us,
To weep for our loss
We thought you were
To sing forever
To move and laugh
And cry, no less
Though you are gone, you will remain
Forever, the Eternal Child, the King of Pop, the Michael Joseph Jackson
Hehe, although I DO love Michael Jackson, I wrote this mainly for a friend of mine.
What do you think? This is the first poem I've ever written (for myself, not for school or anything) and I'm not much of a poet anyway, but I was just wondering what you people think of it.
