I wrote it a few days ago about the girl I'm currently involved with. It's the first really poetic material I've written in awhile and I was just wondering what your thoughts and opinions are. It doesn't have a title or anything yet.
How much longer? For how much longer must I sit and wait, watching as the tears cascade down your cheeks like liquid stars that drip with the sorrow of your soul? I burn inside with a passion beyond my capacity to place into words, so I beg of you to let me place it upon your lips. Those lips so filled with wonder in my eyes that I constantly long for one more tender kiss. Let me steal you away from your cage of security and our hearts will fly with the freedom of the birds in the early morning of a new spring sky. Vulnerable though we may be, know that we will have a love boundless and unhindered by fear, and you will find refuge in my arms. My heart pressed firmly against yours, I'll take your hand and gaze into your eyes more beautiful than a thousand rising moons and the endless stars in our night sky. For within those eyes there is the want and ability to love and be loved by me. Let me wrap you in my arms and sing you to sleep. With my embrace as warm as the morning sunlight that graces your smooth, touchable skin, and my voice as soft, strong, and soothing as the water that flows from a mountain stream. With my heart so filled with emotion and my soul so loyal, let me rescue you from the pain and suffering you so willingly endure, and I will love you with all the strength and passion within me.
