The Person That Day
My home has always been the same. But some how, something didn’t feel right.
The season and time was unknown. The cold breeze and the heavy forecast that surrounded was depressing. Looking out the window, flashed gray and blue. Estimated around 4:00 PM.
The grass was green, but the yard had no life. It was creepy that day. It felt motionless. No life. Dead. Empty. Some how, it made me panic, It wasn’t empty because I remember, There was something in the yard that day.
The description may come off as weird and unusual, but please bare with me.
My mom was cleaning and siphoning the fish tank water on the patio.
I had to feed my lizard fruit for the afternoon. My lizard had his own little comfortable place in the yard. I didn’t want to go out to the back yard and feed him that day. Even thinking about going outside made my body cringe, but I knew what I needed to get done. I stepped on to the patio. Crept past my mother and the Huge fish tank. Making my way Around the house, getting further into the devil’s trap.
Walking on the green grass gave me encouragement. The heavy dark cloud above told me to die.
I wanted to go home.
The intensity of the fear that hugged my body was unbelievable.
I reached into my jeans and pulled out the grapes that seeped into my pocket on my right side.
I held it out for the lizard to eat.
Standing there, holding my hand out. I felt alone… Outside, in the grayness and panic.
I wanted to go home.
I put the grapes on the floor and took a step back. Getting a glimpse of the corner of my left eye. I could see something. The shadowy, dark figure just stood there. It didn’t really have a face or body. It was just… there. A dark gap in the air stood to the left of me. My heart dropped. I felt my heart sank to the floor with incredible panic.
I turned to face, it. Some how, it confronted me, but had no voice.
The dark figure, the black thing that stood before me had such an impact on me. I felt my whole body tingling.
The thing that was before me wasn’t gone. It was there, very much there. It gave me that intense feeling that it was staring at me, 4 feet away.
I stood still in that one huge frozen glacier where the thought of moving was unthinkable. All I remember that day was, what ever stood before me in that dark gray back yard. It wasn’t normal, nor human.
Wanting it to go away, I can
