What do you think of my building design?

Here's a picture:

It's actually a student center for a non-existent university branch.

Left side east, right side north.
Tropical region, which means it's often hot yet often rainy. No winter, only summer and rain season.
The roof deck, only gardeners and maintenance personnel hang around up there. There is a drainage pipe system on the edges which empties towards downspouts (not seen).
That blue butterfly roof is actually made up of solar panels and it also doubles as a rain collector with filtration system, which is used for the restrooms.
That Latin phrase is "Quadrigentis annis gratia perpetua" which means "400 years of unending grace," which is the said university's commemorative tagline on its 400th year.

And don't be too harsh towards me, I'm just a 17-year-old architecture student freshman. If you need to correct me, do so politely.

Plus, one more thing. I'm a strict follower of the principles of Modernist architecture, which states that ornament is a crime and is a waste of human labor and building materials. But I think that those rectangular mural things are aesthetically pleasing and provide identity to the building. What do you think? Are they a good idea, or are they impractical and a waste of time and money?
