What do *you* think makes a book well written? Down to the characters, plot, and...

...overall context...? I was just wondering because I have read some amazing books with detailed and descriptive context. They have perfect plots and barely any Mary-Sues, but they are still considered horribly written.

SOOOO, in YOUR opinion, what about the *characters* *plots* *descriptions* and *overall contexts* make you think "This is amazing!"

You can go into description (please) and come up with every little thought you have ever had with reading.
