what do you think? it is a paragraph for my english. Poems.?

The first line of Blessing is very powerful as it uses the simile ‘The skin cracks like a pod.’ The image this creates in your head is actually quite brutal, when a pea pod cracks it is very forceful, the skin cracking to the action of the pod cracking emphasises the severity of the conditions over there. It also makes you think, in wet countries such as England, we take water for granted, we curse when it rains, yet people over in Africa and such like struggle to survive because of a lack of it. The next stanza uses words you can hear such as: ‘drip’, ‘splash’ and ‘echo’. Using onomatopoeia makes the poem more real because you relate to the sounds you hear everyday. The words used are related to water which makes you think like them as it is a subject on there mind they relish in the desire for it and when it is received the joy they experience is indescribable as water to them means life.
