I was thinking of writing a book about a girl who runs away from an abusive family life. She's not terribly angsty or "tortured," more the type of person to put on a strong face and grimace through it, but one night things get out of hand and she leaves.
I was thinking of having her just drive, seeing the country and having different experiences. She discovers love and loss, meets characters she could have never imagined, skirts the law on more than one occasion, and ultimately discovers what it means to be human.
Again, I know this is really vague, haha, but it's a baby idea right now. What do you think of it though, good, bad, just ok? Any advice?
