A lawyer who videoed himself smoking what appeared to be joints made with pages from the Bible and the Koran expects to lose his job at a Queensland university.
I personally have no more problems with this sort of act, than those that just ignore God’s word; the actual burning is just a book with printed pages and in itself, has very little value.
The act of burning it is showing disrespect for what is written on those pages, but they are still just bits of printed paper.
I have disposed of a bible or two over the years that was too damaged to be of any real use any more as I would only use newer ones. It is not disposing of God’s word as that will endure forever, just a reproduction of it.
