So this is gunna probably sound stupid, but it really upset me and my mother.
So we went to the gas station store by my house tonight, as we do every night. And as usual, my little 8lb chihuahua came for the walk. So we get to the store, where I usually just pick up my dog and take him in with me, and like usual, that's what I did. But tonight there was a someone else working then who were used to at that time, but everyone else at the store knows me and my mom and my dog, and they all like us. So I walk into the store like I usually do, and instead of being greeted by the usual 'hi how are you?' I was greeted by 'no dogs, get out' now I'm an east-coaster (Canadian) and I got a mouth dirtier then a sailors, and I'm not afraid to tell you how it is, so not straying from my normal behavior I say 'wtf buddy, wanna try that one again?' And my mom said, were in here every night with him and there's never been any problems, actually everyone else loves the dog. But the guy says 'I don't care, I'd you don't get out ill call the cops' so like I always do in that situation I told him to go ahead, which he did. So without hesitation, he dials the number (not 911) which he did so quick, I could tell he calls them on a regular basis, then the lady cop asked to speak with me, which I did. And she told me that because its a private business they have the right to do that, even if there's no posted no dogs signs and that if I don't leave they'll come physically remove me, well I gave her my opinion on that and gave back the phone and took my dog outside. And he then refused to serve my mom.
Well me and my mom are very loyal customers to this store, were well known to pretty much all the staff, including managers and owners, and we spend A LOT at this store and have NEVER EVER had any problems that resulted in this seriousness...
Is this a 'the customer is always right' and he was being a rude douchebag ?
I understand they have the right to do that, but he didn't have to be so rude about it. Considering that me and my mom combined spend at least 200 there every week, and are well known appreciated customers, on a first name basis with the employees...
