I have started writing this book and I want to know if its worth it to continue it. so I want to know what all you people think about it. and thank you to anyone who helps
here it is:
Aster, yes that’s my name. I remember now. But what Happened? I am so confused. I remember my parents, my home, the forest I often took afternoon strolls in but why wasn’t I there now? This was definitely not home, I knew that much. It was dark and cold, almost like I was in a black hole. But I could feel rock beneath me and I realized I was leaning against some smooth surface, maybe glass or maybe metal.
Suddenly a loud bang made me jump and a door slid smoothly open across from me. A tall, slender man with short dark hair and a white outfit that a doctor or scientist would wear stepped in and beckoned me to follow him. As I struggled to stand I realized my head hurt terribly and when I reached up to feel it I found a fairly sized lump on it.
“Owww.” I grumbled but the man just ignored me and turned to leave. As I hurried to catch up with him, my memory started to come back to me. I had been walking through the woods while my parents took my little sister Poppy to town to get some groceries, when out of nowhere a boy that looked around 16, about my age stepped out of the trees carrying a large sack. Surprised, I had jumped back and stumbled on a rock and crashed to the ground. I looked up at him standing over me. “I’m sorry, I have no choice” he had said. Confused I started to question him but before I had the chance he lifted the sack and stuffed it over my head. I struggled for a while but something hit me hard on the head and everything went black. Then I woke up in the dark room I had just left.
We turned down a hallway that was completely metal. I leaned against the wall feeling very tired but straitened up immediately at the touch of the ice-cold wall. When we reached the end of the hall the man stopped. He was standing in front of a room.
“This is where you will sleep and live, you are not to leave this room unless you are summoned.” He said his deep voice full of hostility. I glanced up at him to see he was glaring down at me. What up with him? I thought curiously, I had done nothing to make him angry. “Thank you.” I mumbled and hurried into the room
