What do you think about Fords?

I went to a Ford dealership today because I'm highly interested in this 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. I posted a notice on my facebook, and one of my friends was really adamant that I don't get a Ford, saying that they were horrible cars and always break down and cause trouble. To any of you Ford owners out there, how true is this? I don't want to make a big investment in something that'll just cause me trouble.
 
I really think dollar for dollar the new Ford Fusion is the best car out there today. The Hybrid is especially good. People who bash these cars do not know what they are talking about or just like to argue the old Ford Chevy debate. I own a Ford Focus and I love it. I wish I didn't like it so much because I'd like to buy a Fusion but I can't seem to get rid of my Focus because it's such a good car.
 
Look your car will last you a long time IF you change the oil when needed, don't drive it hard, treat it right, take care of it. Trust me a brand new car will go for atleast 5 years if you take care of it right. You might have a minor problems but nothing major. (Minor as in under 100 dollar mark)
