...who loves electronics? What do you think about an expensive pen as a birthday present for an 18 year old? the gift is from his girlfriend.

its certainly a useful gift: having a nice pen (with refillable ink) is somethin he'll appreciate and use when he gets older.

problem: he might not use or appreciate it RIGHT NOW. I wouldn't of at that age.

now, if it was the kind of expensive pen that worked in outerspace and upside down and all that jazz, that'd be cool.
