I have a real problem with it. I believe it is a waste of resources, and more importantly, a waste of vital, young lives. I think the whole paranoia about "Global Terrorism!", is overblown. It has been around forever, we, as a nation, just were not paying attention. Israel has understood it, and how to combat it, since their inception. I have a personal stake in this. My godson, my sisters youngest son, is sitting in one of the hottest spots in the world. North East Afghanistan, right on the border with Pakistan. A warm spot in the field, to say the least. I don't like it. I do not want him there. I am not willing to sacrifice him for some idealized concept, that I believe to be flawed.

I do support his decision, and I have the utmost respect for him. He is tough as nails, and I am so proud of him.
It is the decisions of the current administration that I don't agree with.
Buy the way, I would enlist in a minute, if they would have me, I am too old. I know that is easy to say, but it is true. I should have gone in when I was younger, probably would have been the best thing I could have done.
Oh, I understand it, trust me. I have been a student of global politics, and military history since I can remember. Next time,I will try and think of a better word than "stuff". How about, "events" ?
