...and be very social? are you envious, jealous, think it's great or do you think it is bad for a couple in their 40's to go out to the clubs and have fun.
I am 47, she is 39 and we both love to go out and have fun. She loves to dance hip hop.

We know people our age that are already living like they have one foot in the grave and they prefer to sit at home and rot.
Gordon Shumway, where do you see that I mention anything about going out where kids hang out? I didn't, YOU MADE AN ASSUMPTION. Assumptions mean you lack common sense.
ATTN: WE GO OUT WHERE THE AGE RANGE IS LATE 20'S TO 40'S. We mostly like the 30's to 40's crowd like the live music club near my house.

If they don't have young kids, why not? 40 doesn't mean you are dead. And I don't think 40 is old.

I think it is great. More power to them.
If the clubs are full of much younger folks, then it is a little odd.

If they are drunk when they do it, then no, they are just drunks.

There is nothing wrong in going out and having a good time every once in awhile. I use to do that with my ex husband. We would drink and dance and have a fun time but we did not do that all the time. We only went out on Sat. nights. I still miss those times.

If you guys are going out and enjoying your time together respectfully, then that's all that matters. More power to you.

Couples are fine at any age, in my opinion. But when I was in my 20's, I recall the 40+ single women out there dancing and thought I probably wouldn't do that if I was single and 40. And I haven't.

I do enjoy outdoor tiki bars, on occasion, though. Especially if they're playing reggae and/or steel drum. There's a place I go in Florida where this older couple (60+) is always there dancing and you can tell they've taken lessons and been dancing forever together. That's pretty cool.

Just be happy and don't worry about what people think.

I don't know.

My mother in law is 67 years old, and she still goes bar hopping every weekend. She dresses in belly shirts and mini skirts and fashionable boots and cakes on pounds of makeup to mask her wrinkles. LOL. Then, when the band is playing she gets up and dances and plays the tambourine for them.

It's sickening. I'm 24 and she acts like she's my age -- *I* don't even act like that!

40's isn't bad, as long as you dress tastefully and don't wh*re it up!
