Need is relative. I've seen video of a guy shooting while riding on his bike. I think that's a ridiculous proposition when you can out accelerate pretty much any other land vehicle in private hands by just twisting the right handgrip. That said, shooting with gloves & other equipment on is a necessary skill in certain fields.
In the instant case I am talking of gaining access to, presenting and employing a handgun, while in a full ATTGATT dress; stich, helmet and all. If you've ever had the pleasure of full MOPP gear, it's very similar.
I agree, a flame thrower would be nice in a rear firing configuration, but it's a mass area weapon and indiscriminate and would violate several laws by it's employment. I do admit though... at times I would certainly understand it's employment by a biker.
NOT that I approve, just that I would understand.
I am what you might consider a fast mover too, although I'm staring at a 2nd rotator cuff surgery. Even so, I am nowhere near quick in full gear.
As for the zombies, it's my understanding that if they don't turn you, they eat you so who cares how fast they are?
Why do you ask?
I'd bet that no matter what answer I gave, it wouldn't be enough. Regardless (and I certainly mean no personal offense) it's my business, right & choice. I could do so legally and be unpracticed, meeting only the legal requirements. I choose to be proficient at it, including regular practice, even practice under adverse condtions, competition, teaching and yes, hobby shooting.
Well... you have good taste in motorcycles, and you never know when you're going to find yourself on the right coast of the mainland. Some day I plan to make it to Hawaii... This year, I'm going to have to make to with the Isle of Man.
