What do you have to do in order to make it into Major League Baseball?

My 11 year old brother is a really good first baseman and batter. He plays on a little league team and he is literally obsessed with baseball. He dreams of playing first base for the New York Yankees one day. Besides obviously playing hard throughout high school and college, what else will he have to do to make it to the big leagues?
 
tell him not to worry about it, he will not make it to the majors.
