In an 8-team fantasy league, Team 1 offers Brad Richards, Byfuglien, Plekanec and Hamrlik to Team 2 for Eric Staal, Umberger, Ehrhoff, and Pietrangelo.
Team 1 would be losing its best centre and Plekanec but still has Stall(with trade), Backstrom, Grabovski, Umberger(with trade), and Tavares. Team 1 would also lose their best D-man but still has still has Ehrhoff(with trade), Pietrangelo(with trade), Tomas Kaberle, and Ryan Suter.
Team 1 also has Brenden Morrow and Sean Avery at LW.
Team 2 would lose Stall and Umberger but still has Stamkos, Richards(with trade), Patrice Bergeron, Plekanec(with trade), Bobby Ryan, and Ryan Skinner. Team 2 would also lose their best D-man and Pietrangelo but still has Byfulgien(with trade), Hamrlik(with trade), Robidas, Seabrook, Pietrangelo. Team 2 also has Ray Whitney and Kovalchuk at LW.
One question mark is Brad Richards as we aren't sure when he'll return or how well he'll play but it looks as though Team 2 has the depth to take the risk.
Another is that this league counts goals, assists, +/-, PIM, powerplay pts, shots, and the players Team 2 would be getting have scored more in all the categories except goals so far in the season. Could Team 1 be giving up too much?
Is this trade fair for both sides? If not which side do you think it favours? What could each team do to even the trade? I'd try and make a rip off trade but trade deadline for the league is tomorrow so I need to rush and make sure both teams have offered fair value.
Seriously, why do you say Team 1 wins this deal?
