What do you guys think of a 2004 Kia Spectra EX as my first car?

Should I get it, or is there something safer for around $6,000-$8,000?
I am only 16, and my mom will probably buy it for me, but I want to know if this car is reliable, safe, and etc.

It would help if you had this car, but just advice on what car to get would be helpful :)
Do you think I should get it if it already has 60,000 miles?

Is that low, or is it super high?

It is a good, reliable, safe, practical, fun to drive, fuel efficient car.
And since you are buying it used, it has a 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty instead of the 10 yr, 100,000 mile waranty, which means the warranty is already finished since it has been 5 years.

Many people will say Kia's are bad. They were bad in the old days. And the Kia Rio is the only newer Kia that is still a bad car. They have a bad reputation, which makes many people think all Kia's are bad cars.

But do not get scared, the Spectra is a good first car. Many people in my college drive one.
