What do you do if your partner has a lower sex drive?

I had a long talk with my boyfriend today because I was feeling unattractive, he never seems to want to have sex. He was calm and explained he didn't see it as the be all and end all of a relationship. I know it isn't but I want sex at least once a week especially if he stays over mine nearly every night. He says he can't change but would it be out of order if he did things for me when he isn't in the mood? What was also wierd was that he got really offended when I told him that I masturbate. I know he isn't cheating he practically lives with me and doesn't watch porn/masturbate himself. What am I meant to do? other than this we are perfect together :(
 
Depends on him, and not you. Less than once a week is below average. He probably is not getting enough sleep, or good diet, or exercise. He needs to at least get a checkup with an MD. If he is unwilling, then he doesn't love you enough... you might just be a convenience. Sorry. Try scheduling some date nights... some romantic interludes. You both need to work, but he needs to care. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with self pleasure if he isn't coming through for you. He has no complaints.
