Ive read that washing your face more than twice a day can make acne worse. If Im gentle, would it be okay to wash three times a day? My face is a freaking oilstick. Even my cheeks are feeling and looking oily lately. What do you guys and gals do throughout the day when your face gets oily. Do you wash it again or what else do you do?

Tips would be greatly appreciated :)

I live in CA and all the potties have cover sheets in the stalls. I usually grab one and blot my face with it when I am at work. They work like the little blotting sheets but are free. I also do carry blotting papers in my purse. Yeah, 55, and still oily! But, I don't have a lot of wrinkles so there are some long-term advantages to having oily skin.

I would also suggest using a drying lotion, to help absorb the oil in the morning, after washing your face. There are many branRAB on the market- but stick to something which has salycilic acid in it...a thin film, after cleansing, and before any makeup, or used alone, should help.

i've heard that milk of magnesia, just a thin layer on the skin before makeup, keeps the oilies away. i've never tried it, but MoM is cheap, so it could be worth a try for you.

Try this, drink lots of water. Most people just drink whenever and a lot of quantity at once but this would be an efficient way to do it. When you wake up, drink two 8oz glasses of 'water' and every time you urinate, drink one 8oz glass of water right after. Also, drink two 8oz glasses of water before going to sleep. Try this for a few days and see how your oil holRAB up.

One other easy method I forgot to mention is to dry your face not with a towel but through a fan or a blow dryer on cool setting(I prefer fan). Do this right after taking shower for 15minutes or so and it shall evaporate some of the water buildup. Hope this helps ^_^
