What do vs. rif/ns. rif stand for in an Italian Business letter?

I'm trying to write a motivation letter for a school in Milan using an Italian Business letter format. There are a few fields that I'm not sure what to enter in, those being:
Vs. Rif., Messagio del
and
Ns. Rif., Messageio del

What should go in these fields? Thanks in advance.
