what do they do when they are making a benifit fraud investigation against you? please

help? my mate is having a benifit fraud investigation on her. as there as been wrong alligation against her saying her bf is living with her when only he stops there now and again.he does not give her any money or anything. but she has let him have his mail posted to her house as he doesnt have a permanent adress
please help
