What do they call Canada Geese when they fly south?

When Canada geese fly south for the winter, what do they call them after they pass over the 49th parallel heading south? Do they call them United States Geese and then when they get to Mexico, they call them Mexican Geese? Also, is it legal for Americans to shoot and kill a Canada Goose, something that is not from their country?
 
They are still called canada geese. Different states have hunting seasons for geese. Most are not for hunting migrating birds but are for resident geese.
