What do people think about the Ford Escape suv? New or Used.?

Right now Ford is having a special for 0% 60 months on all new ford escapes. It looks like a great small suv. The payments would be 300-400 range a month for a new one. The car insurance would be around the 70-80 range a month. Is it a better deal to buy new or used on this suv? Does ford have the 5 year warranty right now?

I know someone who owns one, and they like it.
Personally, I drive an '04 F-150 and I have a '97 Mustang Cobra as a fun car, and I love them both.
