What do I write poetry about!?

I have to make a poem book for school.

I love to write poetry, and I'm pretty good at it too, but most of my poems would either humiliate me, or make my teacher send me to a counselor. I ussually write about despair, or god, or love or things like that. I only have two poems that are usable, the only thing I can think to write about is nature, any ideas?
 
well....seriously ..do you hate your peoms just because others hate them? well...even i write some poems that are depressing(oneof them is totally about dying:P)
just because i write poems abt despair......well..it doesnt mean that i am an emo or something.
If you seriously wanna write some good stuff, do it for yourself....if it gives you happiness..

If you like it, EVERYONE will like it
If you hate it, EVERYONE will hate it
Start liking your peoms, they are nothing but your reflections
 
love is a pretty safe topic, and there is so much you can say.
if you want to be different, why don't you write kinda abstract poetry, like focus on something random in the room :)
