what do i wear with a blue long sleeved denim shirt?

it is long sleeved
light blue
light denim material
buttons up midpoint of the front
feminine cut and kinda old fashioned modest look to it

i have zero idea what to wear on my legs for it
jeans just looks redundant
black pants?
im thinking leggings...

any one know the fashion of like 80's 90's
please help
