I have no experience at all with the GC/ECD and I need to run some sea water samples to test for carbon tetrachlorides. I know how to use the HPLC, however, I was told to use GC. What do I need? What kind of column should I use (if the GC uses columns)? Do I need a precolumn or a kit? What else would be recommended to get accurate chromatograms?
