My Uncle breeds Angel Fish. Isolating them is the correct thing to do.
They really don't need a 90 gallon tank. 30 would be fine.
I have never been into raising Angel Fish but (according to my Uncle) it is best to raise them in a tank with plenty of green algae and plenty of live plants for concealment.
Are you sure the Male has fertilized the Eggs?
Apparently Angel Fish do not all hatch at once and you will end up with some that grow at a faster rate than others and they are prone to be carnivorous thus the need for places for the smaller ones to hide (plants).
He trades them with his local pet shop for credit as he has two Saltwater tanks too.
If there are no other fish in the tank then the breeding net is not necessary. You may want to get a hanging plastic container so you can scoop out the first born into the tank. This will cut down on fatalities.
I'm sure I will get 'thumbs down' on this but people make keeping an Aquarium WAY too difficult. Cycling is BS. Distilled water requires no cycling and the only thing you have to worry about is the Ph Level. 7.0 is supposed to be neutral and optimum but if you check the aquarium at your local pet shop it is usually around 5.0.
I have had aquariums since I was 7 years old (I'm now 45) and have never cycled one tank in my life and have not lost any fish because of that. Sure, Clean it every 6 months and do a half water change out and you are fine.
BTW, my Uncle is not desperate for money as he is one of the top 100 Lawyers in the Country. He helped establish the ABA and would have been Secretary of State if Barry Goldwater had been elected President.
Make sure you can get rid of all these Angel Fish or you will be over run with them.
Try to make a deal with a local Pet Shop. That way you can trade off fish for other pet needs.
My Uncle usually waits until Angel Fish are about the size of a Half Dollar (including fins) to trade them off.
His Saltwater Tanks are a wonder to watch just because he raises Angel Fish.
I believe he raises Danios too.
I have angel fish in my 90 gallon tank. this is the 3rd time that they lay eggs soo what I did is that I put a breeding net with eggs inside and with out the parents in it too. I dont know if I did the right thing or what should I do can some one tell me what else to do step by step ?
