I found this great car from an individual that lives nearby. I've checked it out, got the money, etc. But I am wondering what kinds of things I need to make sure I do legally for the transaction. Are there any other basic things I need to do that I may overlook?
Is it enough that she hands me the title, or do I need to sign something and have it notarized? What kind of tags can I get (and where) until I am able to get it registered (I am getting it and moving to a different state the next day)?
I've never done this before, so I really appreciate any kind of checklist items you can give me. Thank you very very much for any help!!!
