So, i 'm not actually ready to start one, but I am only preparing by finishing my own education. I will be graduating from UF in one year with a bachelors in Sociology and a minor in African American Studies and (hopefully!) Education. I want to continue (most likely at UF) and get my Masters in some program in the College of Education.
I just don't know what program is best for what I want to do. I want a program that lets me become a certified teacher, and prepares me for what I want to do next. I want to teach for a few years while getting my doctorate online in educational leadership (I checked, it's possible) and once I have that, begin the plans to start my charter school. I want my charter school to be located in Florida, and hopefully be 6th-12th grade.
Anyone have any ideas what graduate programs I should look into right after I finish my undergrad? I want something that really prepares me well for my ambitious career goals so that i can prepare my future students. Any help/ideas are greatly appreciated, especially from those in the educational field!
