I live in Olympia, WA and I am planning on hiking the Appalachian Trail this spring. I have just about everything figured out but what to do with my car for the 5-7 months. I have a friend in Vancouver, BC who is willing to hang on to it for me in her apartment parking garage and start it and move it spots every week or so to make sure it stays running well. However I am not sure what exactly I would need to do to leave a car registered in the US in Canada for that length of time, or if the border officials will wonder why I drove my car in and took the train out... Any help is greatly appreciated!
What do I need to do to lend my car to my Canadian friend?
