So basically, my now ex girlfriend broke up with me about 4 months ago, I ran into her at a mutual friends birthday party and she was very flirty and bold to me. She sent me a picture mail of a picture she had taken of me later that night (initiating this whole ordeal) and we had a light text conversation, the next day I asked to hang out so we did, we were very close, more than just friends even though she claims that is all she wanted. She lied next to me and I thought there was hope of getting back together, she said differently. We have hung out a few more times since than and the physical stuff has subsided for the most part. But she still calls me every night and we talk for hours, she texts me all the time, but she constantly says, this is bad, or I shouldn't be doing this. But she does anyways, and just throws that in there to make it "okay". My question is, does it seem like she wants more? She has said that I am her best friend, but I know neither her nor I text our best friends all throughout the day, let alone call them every night and talk about each others' days for hours. She says we are best friends, I still am maintaining a hope that we will somehow get back together. What do I make of this? Is it really JUST a friendship? Do you think that her saying we should just be friends is to defend her word and make her not appear to seem like she made a mistake, that is really prideful, and I don't think she is like that. Maybe I am reading into it too much, but either way no girl should lead a guy on like this.. I can't ask for future predictions, but what do you make of this internet? I need help!
For the record, she kissed me a few days ago. I have neglected to make any moves because I can't bring myself to facing the rejection, however, she makes ALL the moves, and I go with it. If she is making moves, less now than it was, than how can that be nothing? Is it possible it is just "left over" feelings? She broke up with me because she was too busy, and couldn't handle the time commitment if that makes any constellation.
