What do I major in for college?

I live in America and want to be an english teacher in Japan. I don't speak japanese at all. I understand that this is really hard to achieve, but if I really wanted to, what should I major and minor in for college? Should I major in Japanese and minor in English or vice versa? Help please.
 
It seems better to minor in English and major in Japanese.

You speak English and you're not going to teach English beyond your level.
