What do I have to do to become a 10th, 11th, or 12th grade history teacher?

I looked on my future college site? and the B.A> degree in history says that "graduates are qualified to teach history upon reciving degree". That is a bit too vague though. AM I qualified to teache k through 12 or do i need to double major, etc. in secondary education. PLEASE HElP
 
whatever you do, the most beneficial thing i have found is to take a teachers placement program (kind of like Co-op) hope that helps :)
