what do i do when my sidekick 09 battery gets to hot and then my screen goes black?

so iwas charging my fone and fell asleep on top of it , like always and the battery gets very hot . when i do that i payd no mind and started to talk on the phone iwas on the phone for about an hour or so and i guess my fone stayed hot after i got off the phone my screen went totally black .i was thinking maybe it just died but when i went to plug my charger in the screen stayed black usually a charger symbol comes up when i plug it in after it has died . i took the battery out for a couple of secs nd retryed but it stayed black . idont know what to do can someone help me out ?
 
maybe is Technical problems so you need to take it to the store to see what is the problem or change the battery or get a new phone but this happen sometimes because you drop it to the water or you drop it on the floor
