what do i do in court?

Ok, me and my step-dad got into a fight, and we where hitting and shit and my mom tried to jump in and she got hit when me and him where fighting, and then she called the cops and now i am going to court because. when i was there, they asked me if i hit her and my step-dad and if i lunged at her and threatened her. i said no, i got into a fight with my step-dad and the rest is lies and i did not hit her or threaten to do anything. and that is the truth, it was just between me and my step-dad press charges against him or anything, i am just trying to get this cleared up. me and my step-dad are cool now and we hanging out still and stuff, it was my mom that over reacted and started all this shit. i am 16, i'm getting my G.E.D. right now and looking for a job, and i have a life and shit and i don't have time to go to all these places and all this shit, and so i either say i am guilty and get sent to BCA, a jail that is also a school, or probation, house arrest, or something like that... or i can keep telling them the truth and shit... because in less than 5 months when i turn 17, if i am in BCA or whether i am still going to court saying that the last half of the shit isn't true, when i am 17 they said that it is cleared up and i go wherever the hell i want...

all this is what i made out of everything that i heard. so what should i do, tell them i am guilty, or tell them the truth, that it was just between me and my step-dad and nothing else happened??

i need some advice. my next court date is on the 7th of October and i was wondering what i should say cause i have some people telling me say guilty and get it over with, and some say tell the truth and don't give in.

so i am wondering, what should i do the next time i go to court?? what should i say??
