I have a female black molly and I just got a tetra that looks like this.

The black one chases and nips at her. Causing the fish to get very stressed and lay on her side. Why is she doing this? What can I do to help?

I have stress coat, and put the recommended amount in.
It's a female sword tail, sorry.

Hello,
I think not 100% though that the reason a fish might attack another fish is rather the other fish is ill or it might be what your feeding them, and some fish just like to show who boss, but dont worry to much you always get that in a mx of fish.
But this happend with my two 10" koi when i got them they were exactly the same length and size but the one that had been there longer just bullied the other koi, i felt sorry for it and wanted to help so i rang the pet store up and they said just leave them alown and watch them both carefully and so i did and soon after they just stoped, and they were fine, and they are still fine to thuis verry day! So im sure your fish will be too!
Good Luck!
