What do i do about my painted fender?

I was painting my fender and my red spray paint ran out. I went back to the store bought 2 huge cans so im over prepared now. but what do i do about the old red paint spray over it or remove it? or sand and re primer?

I would sand and re primer....if you want it to look the best don't take any shortcuts! Good Luck

If it is the same color you can just continue to paint it. If the colors are close you can paint over it and might have to do a couple of layers. If the colors aren't close and you are really worried about it looking identical then sand it, re prime it, and then paint it.

very lightly sand the area you already painted with 320 grit paper, wipe clean and spray away. It is not necessary to start all over.
