So far as to deny citizenship status to teens who have lived in the US and desire an education? Acceptance of immigrants was one of the things that made the United States a great country and contributed to our huge population, workforce, and economic growth. Some conservatives don't want these illegal immigrants to receive federal assistance, yet they don't want to give them the chance to better themselves and become federal tax-paying citizens... Also, they supported the passage of the "No Child Left Behind" Act and want to terminate the Department of Education... I don't see how people couldn't be concerned with a greater education, that's why our country has fallen behind so drastically.
