I'm a freshman in high school and I tend to jump ahead a lot and plan out my future quickly.
Currently I'm in my second marking period of my first semester. I really messed up the first marking period and got a 50, 69, 77, 84, 88, and a 93. Normally I do a lot better.
I love writing and really want to get into a good college and get my masters in journalism.
I've been looking at different colleges lately but I've book marked a few that I really like:
Northwestern University (Evanston, IL)
New York University or NYU (New York, NY)
UCLA (Los Angelos, CA)
and a few others.
I really want to start building a sturdy resume now so I need a little bit of help.
I'm in a few clubs in school for community service and getting kids off drugs. In my high school all the marking period grades get averaged out at the end of the year and put onto our final transcript. The final grades for 9-12 are the only grades on the final transcript that the high school sends to the colleges so they'll probably never see my first marking period grades.
What can I do or participate in that will look really good on my resume?
Please help me. I'm going crazy worrying about this. I really want to make my parents proud and get accepted to a good school.
