What do Christians think of the fact that some people die a horrific death?

Death in a car accident, a plane crash, falling from a building, accidentally drowning, an explosion, crushed in an earthquake, etc.

What's the "divine reason" for such a horrific way to die?
People who die that way don't even have time to think of their loved ones. The last image that they see is probably a frightening one.
