So, I've been teaching myself guitar for about 3 or 4 months now... i have a Fender Affinity Strat and my amp is a Line 6 Spider III 15W 8"
I've realized that my amp can barley be adjusted to mimic a sound of any song, and i was told to get a distortion pedal... but i have no idea what i even need. My price point is $50 or less and i get a pedal free when i buy one.
I know $50 isn't alot, but i don't need to sound like a pro, i just want to be able to actually play a song! THANKS ALOT

P.S. If you could also tell me why my guitar just sounds bad in general, i mean just like a single note sounds bad for some reason? I don't really know how to explain it! But thanks if you can help!
