What dirt bike should i get?

I want to get a dirtbike. i have all woods behind my house that i would ride it in. i have never ridden a dirt bike before so i want to know what kind would be good to ride in the woods. I need something cheap i will probably buy it off of craigslist
 
few bits of advice...

1 NEVER buy off the internet. it could get damaged during shipping and its risky dealing with people you dont know. only do it if you can meet them in person and transport it home yourself

2 NEVER buy chinese bikes. its impossible to find service and parts for them and youll get six months of use at the very most.


3 buy USED paying for a new bike simply affords you to pay more than the bike is really worth

4 look for the closest dealer , if dealer A is 2 hours in the country and dealer B is 10 minutes from home, you should probably buy from dealer B, unless its a very bad dealer.



so, what bike should you get? you can get a used quality yamaha or honda bike for less than $2000.
