What dirt bike is the best for me ?

Im looking for a dirt bike for some off road leisure riding and some light "ish" racing. I've got a budget of $6,000 - $9,000. I was looking at the KTM's, BMW G450X, etc

Please tell me what has worked for you and weather it's worth going second hand?
