About 10 years ago there was a 'Super Game Boy' for the Super Nintendo System that looked like a regular SNES cartridge had a plug in the top you could plug normal Gameboy Games into. I don't know if it would work with Color / DS games (doubtful for DS).
EDIT: Apparently there is also an adaptor for the Gamecube. Neither one looks like it works with DS games.
