What did women do in the olden days? ?

Just curious, but when did women of mid-evil ages and before them do when there menstrual cycle/ period came? How did they control the flow from making a mess?

They put a rag in their underwear and just wore it around. They didnt have pads or tampons. Thats why they call it "being on the rag" lol

Caras right! They would have to wash the rags and stuff too, when they could find some private time (aren't you glad you don't have to do that!?). I think during some time periods, women were thought to be like crazy or something during that time and pretty much had to keep to themselves.
