What did I see flashing high above the earth in broad daylight?

I was laying on my deck at about 6:30 PM (7/15/09) in Minneapolis MN. The sun was still quite high in the sky. I saw a pinpoint of pulsing light almost directly above me. It pulsed about once every second or so. It was moving across the sky at about the same pace that I've seen satellites move across the sky at night. I know Endeavour launched today but I can't imagine seeing it up here in Minnesota. I figured it was a satellite but after some research I don't know what to think. Any ideas?
 
Anything that moves in a straight line at a constant speed across the sky, and pulses regularly, is almost certainly a satellite or a piece of space junk.
